There is an article being circulated throughout facebook by NBC Philadelphia regarding the recent closing of the Laff House. It focuses on the efforts of certain comedians such as Keith From Up Da Block on building a new home for urban comedy, specifically, a new building altogether.
What needs to be stressed here is that this is a serious campaign to get a new comedy venue up and running in Philadelphia. This isn’t a campaign to re-open a club with the Laff House name, logo, etc. This is to build a new venue/company altogether.
Check out the campaign’s website for yourself and watch the video by Keith From Up Da Block. If the Laff House and the Philly Comedy scene is as important to you as it is to me and everyone else, please donate to the cause.

Note: There is a deadline to raise the money needed for the campaign and it’s September 3rd. If the money needed is not raised by the deadline, everyone’s money will be returned.
Keep up to date with the campaign on this website, the fundraiser webpage, and their facebook page.
